Four For Friday: NFL Picks Week 14

Once again, for the 3rd straight week, I went 3-1. I was 3 for 3 going into the Monday Night game, ready to cheer on my New York Football Giants against Division Rival Washington RG3s. A win would finally give me a perfect Four For Friday and give the Giants a 2 game lead in the NFC East.

Instead, they stuck with the run throughout the game against the 31st ranked pass defense in the league, came away with just 1TD in 3 red zone visits and couldn't come up with the 4th quarter comeback that they've become accustomed to.

Okay. Moving on. Week 14.
  1. Sunday 1st Set - Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts
I just have five words. Andrew Luck - Most Valuable Player. Seriously. He has put together 5 game winning drives this year, which is the most for a rookie QB since 1960. He also has the most wins in a rookie season for a first overall draft pick. The Colts were 0-12 at this point in 2011. This year, they are 8-4 and in the running to make a Playoff run as a Wild Card team. Oh, and they average MORE rushing yards per game than the Titans. The Colts will sweep the Titans for the year and get their 3rd straight win over their division rivals.

  2. Sunday 2nd Set - Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks are at home. Is there really anything else that needs to be said?

  3. Sunday Night - Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers
Alright, so the Lions are coming off of a really tough loss to the Colts. The Packers have won 6 of their last 7 games, including a close one over the Lions in week 11. And although the Lions would love to play spoiler, the Pack will be playing to better their chances to win the NFC North over Chicago and possibly grab a 1st round bye away from the 8-3-1 Niners. There's a lot on the line for the Pack. Time for them to step up once again.

  4. Monday Night - Houston Texans @ New England Patriots
First off, this is a very biased pick. Cause I do not like the Pats. But I've also got a couple of rational reasons for this pick. Namely, J.J. Watt and Arian Foster. The Pats beat teams by outscoring them. But we all remember what happens when they come up against a tough defense and an opponent who can control the clock. They lose Superbowl XLVI. And they lose this week against the Texans.

I left out the Giants pick this week, cause at this point, it seems unnecessary. You know, because I'm always going to pick the Giants.

How are your picks?
