Top 10 - Before the World Ends

If I were stupid silly enough to believe that the world was ending on December 21st and had to put together a list of things to do with the 10 days I have left AND money and travel time wasn't an issue ... you know where I'm going with this, right?

Wednesday, 12-12-12: First off, I'd have to start the day over. I would start small by visiting my parents on the Big Island and spend the day with them. I've always wanted to see the Kilauea lava flow into the ocean and would do it by helicopter at dusk. I would then visit the top of Mauna Kea to go stargazing at the top of the world.

Thursday, 12-13-12: Day 2 of the "End of the World Tour" would be spent in New Zealand, taking in a tour of Hobbiton with a showing of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey that evening.

Friday, 12-14-12: It would then be a quick jaunt to Australia to take in a full day tour of snorkeling over the Great Barrier Reef.

Saturday, 12-15-12: While I would want to spend more than one day in Japan, with only a little time left, I would take in the One Piece Film Z Premiere and see how Japan celebrates One Piece. While there, I would definitely want to get some grub.

Sunday, 12-16-12: With this being the last chance to see the Defending Superbowl Champions play live, I would definitely go to the Georgia Dome to catch the New York Giants @ Atlanta Falcons game.

Monday, 12-17-12: Since I'd already be in the Southeast, it'd be easy to take a trip to Walt Disney World for a day. I mean, after making my kids sit through a football game the day before, it'd only be fair to treat them to the place where dreams come true.

Tuesday, 12-18-12: After a day of magic with the kids, we'd then move on to New York City. I'm not quite sure what we'd spend the day doing, but we'd need to hire a babysitter so that the wife and I could watch the Book of Mormon on Broadway.

Wednesday, 12-19-12: This is where things start to get tricky. We would need to get our hands on a copy of the Doctor Who Christmas Special or maybe even catch a special "End of the World" showing of it. This would of course happen in Cardiff, so we'd also be able to go nuts at the Doctor Who Experience.

Thursday, 12-20-12: From Cardiff, we'd take the Eurostar to my wife's favorite city and spend a day in Paris. Doing whatever my wife wants to do. Because I'd want at least one day to be just for her.

Friday, 12-21-12: Finally, on the last day of the world, we would get on the special "End of the World" Virgin Galactic flight to see how the end comes up in space. Remember, money, no issue. And yes, I know there aren't any commercial flights yet, but this is a fantasy list.
