Has it really been a full (leap) year since I started this blog? In the beginning, I posted every day.
I had some enjoyable Sunday posts, what with the New York Football Giants making a run through the Playoffs and winning the Superbowl. By the time football season came around again, I was taking Sundays (and most Saturdays) off, but that didn't stop me from posting about the G-Men, who failed to make the Playoffs this year. My only consolation is that the Cowboys lost in their "Win and In" matchup against the Redskins last night.
Something that I thought I'd try to do on a monthly basis was "Top 10" posts. That fell apart by April.
You know what? I'm not going to do this. I'm not going to do a "Year in Review" type of post. If you've been reading, you know how I post. Sometimes it's very short, sometimes there's some actual depth, but more often than not, it's based on what's interesting to me. And while I enjoy looking back on things - I recently put together a photo calendar for my parents belated Christmas gift that had me saying to my wife "when did our girls' (2 and 3 years old) get so big?" - I don't know how interesting it would be to recap my year in blog posts.
But I will go ahead and say that I've technically completed my Time Piece 365 Photo Challenge that originally got me to start this blog. Somehow, I'm missing the photo from January 1st, 2012. And I'll admit that I also missed a couple of days in December, but went ahead and took an extra photo the day after. Somehow, I ended up with 366 photos (even with a missing 1st photo). I don't know where the extra photo was from. I had intended to do a summary of the photos taken, but don't want to right now. Maybe I'll get to it some day. I do know that I've got way too many screenshots.
What else? My girls got a crap load of new toys this Christmas, and TG loves her unicorn.
The family took a mini-vacation at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club King's Land in Waikoloa on the Big Island. And the girls love playing in the water.
There is also a really large park in Waimea that we've driven past dozens of times that we finally stopped by which was really fun. Especially for my 2 year old.
I've already decided that I'll make another go at a 365 Photo Challenge again in 2013. I haven't decided on all the details of it. I don't know if I'll be necessarily tracking it with this blog again, especially since I don't know if I will want to continue to make the effort of daily blogging.
Tomorrow is another day and another year and we'll see what it brings.
Except on Facebook. Which I'm officially quitting for 2013.
Look for me on Twitter and Google+.
